The May 2021 evaluation figures are now available for all dairy and beef animals. The ICBF Animal Search, Active Bull Lists and Stock Bull Finder have all been updated. Farmers subscribed to the HerdPlus service can view their animals new evaluation figures through the various online profiles. Reports (EBI, Euro-Star, BDGP Eligibility, etc.) will be updated over the coming weeks. Farmers will be notified by text as soon as these reports are available online.
New Records
On the dairy side there are some 356,403 additional milk production records added to the May evaluation, an addition of 0.9% extra records bringing total milk production records to 40,276,119. Calving Interval added an additional 599,496 records to this evaluation while Lameness and Mastitis seen additions of 27,549 and 29,182 respectively.
In terms of beef records, there are some 24,681 additional cow live weights and some 5,304 additional maternal weaning weights added to the May evaluation. Beef Calving Interval added an additional 181,147 records to this evaluation.
Genomics saw some 69,171 added for this evaluation bringing the total number of genotypes included in the latest evaluation to 2,320,487. Some 13,113 additional liver fluke records were added to the May evaluation, an addition of 3% extra records bringing total liver fluke records to 453,029.
