It can take anywhere from 10-18 weeks for a bull to receive a genomic evaluation from the time of ordering a sample kit. If you have a pedigree bull aimed at the autumn sales, it is likely that you will be required to get him genotyped. Hitting the genotyping deadlines is essential to make sure your bull has his parentage verified and a genomic evaluation in time. If a deadline is missed by just one day, the genomic result could take 2 months longer.
We recommend you take a look at our evaluation Publication Schedule, to work out when you will need to sample by to get a published result in time. The publication dates and cut-off dates for the submission of data, can be viewed at any time in our Publication Schedule which can be found under the ‘Genetic Evaluations’ dropdown menu at the top of our page.
